A small craft advisory is in effect late Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the lower tidal Potomac River.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 78 and east winds between 3 and 7 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
