Wednesday forecast: Sunny, high near 39, gale warning on bay

The National Weather Service is calling for Wednesday to be sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 39 and northwest winds between 14 and 22 miles per hour, gusting up to 33 miles per hour.

A gale warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Wednesday for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and tidal Potomac River. A small craft advisory is in effect for those areas the rest of the day.

Wednesday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 30 and north winds between 5 and 8 miles per hour or less.

Thursday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 42 and south winds between 5 and 14 miles per hour.

Thursday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with scattered flurries, a low around 30 and south winds 8 to 11 miles per hour becoming westerly.
