Snow covered, wet roads were causing significant traffic delays on Thursday morning, as accidents were reported across the Baltimore region.
On northbound Interstate 95 just north of the Fort McHenry Tunnel toll plaza, the two right lanes and the right-hand shoulder were blocked as of 8:30 a.m. due to an incident involving a disabled vehicle in the roadway, according to the State Highway Administration.
In Baltimore County, one lane and the shoulder of northbound Interstate 83 remained closed about 8:45 a.m. due to a collision that occurred hours before.
In Howard County, a collision closed one lane and the shoulder of westbound Interstate 70 prior to Route 29 early Thursday, but had been cleared as of 7 a.m., according to the State Highway Administration. An earlier accident on Interstate 95 northbound near Route 32 that had been cleared as of 6:30 a.m. was also causing delays.
In Carroll County, all lanes and both shoulders of Route 84 in both directions were temporarily closed due to a one-vehicle accident, but had reopened as of about 8 a.m., according to Maryland State Police.
In Queen Anne's County, two of three lanes of westbound Route 50 near the Bay Bridge were temporarily closed due to an accident involving two vehicles.
