Traffic: Main St. closed in Ellicott City due to derailment

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, Frederick Road, which becomes Main Street, was closed in and around Ellicott City between Old Columbia Pike and Oella Avenue, due to a train derailment. Route 40 westbound is the recommended detour route.

Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

Maryland Transit Administration buses 36 and 51 have been diverted from Monroe Street due to a sinkhole.

The bus stop on Pratt Street at Sharp Street has been discontinued temporarily due to installation of a racetrack barrier for the Baltimore Grand Prix. This affects MTA bus route numbers 7, 11, 19, 19X and 35.

Until further notice, the No. 14 bus stop located northbound on Crain Highway at Furnace Branch Road has been temporarily relocated due to construction.

There are no other delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.
