Another high-profile Baltimore County construction zone is being outfitted with a speed camera, the State Highway Administration says. The newest camera, on the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway at Exit 13 (Frederick Road), will be up and running on Tuesday.
After a three-week grace period, motorists who exceed the 55-mph speed limit by 12 mph or more will be mailed citations. The fine for speeding in a work zone is $40.
Automated cameras also are deployed at three other Baltimore County sites: the Baltimore Beltway at exits 18 and 25, and at the Maryland Transportation Authority's work zone on Interstate 95 between the Beltway and Interstate 895.
