Baltimore police said a 28-year-old man was killed early Sunday in East Baltimore and that, on the west side of town, a 22-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his cheek Saturday evening.
The homicide happened in the 600 block of N. Belnord Ave. shortly after 3 a.m., police said.
The victim, who has not been identified, was found lying facedown with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 3:30 a.m. Police believe the shooting was the result of an argument, and are searching for two men in a gray station wagon.
In the nonfatal shooting on Saturday night, police said the man was shot in the cheek in the 2000 block of W. Lexington Street in West Baltimore shortly after 8 p.m. He walked into Bon Secours Hospital, where he was in stable but serious condition Sunday night, police said. Police did not have a suspect or motive in the incident.
