Charges are pending in the stabbing death Saturday night of Antonio Mattison, 42, at an East Baltimore boardinghouse, Baltimore City police said Sunday.

Shortly after 11 p.m., detectives called to a house in the 1200 block of E. Lafayette Ave. found Mattison with multiple stab wounds to his back, police spokesman Det. Donny Moses said. Mattison died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital, he said.

Moses said Mattison had been arguing with a woman, who summoned her brother, a resident of the boardinghouse, and the two men fought.

The woman, 26, and her brother, 35, are in police custody, Moses said.
