Police: Ongoing dispute may have led to teen found shot in Howard Co.

An ongoing dispute may have resulted in a 15-year-old boy found shot in a field off Frederick Road in Marriottsville Tuesday night, Howard County Police said.

The teen, who suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, was found by officers shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 11400 block of Old Frederick Road.

Police said the teen was involved in an ongoing dispute that may have lead to the shooting, but did not have additional details.

Investigators said the teen, who lives in Baltimore County, was driven to the field by unknown suspects where he got out of the car and was shot. Police said the wound was not self-inflicted.

The teen is in critical, but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Anyone with information should call police at 410-313-STOP. Investigators are offering a reward of up to $2,000.
