Howard County police have charged 10 men with solicitation of prostitution and disorderly conduct during an operation targeting solicitation activities along the U.S. 1 corridor in Laurel.
Women officers in plain clothes worked undercover Friday in areas, where neighbors had complained of prostitution activities. Suspects who approached the female officers and offered them money for sex were arrested.
The suspects arrested are Miguel Barbosa-Palacios, 37, and Victor Manuel Mendez, 24, both of Riverdale; Preston Harrison McGriff, 38, Jose Quintanilla-Rivera, 38, and Steven Albert Bartimo, 37, all three of Laurel; William Howard Maisel, 46, of Kensington
; Vincent Carvel Moore, 53, of Jessup; Ashton Nicholas Penny, 20, of Gwynn Oak; William Hezekiah Davis, 47 of King George, Va. and Eugene Anthony Burgess
, 39, of Glen Burnie
Police will continue to address prostitution and related criminal activity and encourage citizens to call 410-313-STOP with tips or information. Callers may remain anonymous.
