A 23-year-old Toyota Camry driver who wasn't wearing a seat belt was killed early Sunday morning in Howard County after the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, police announced.
Kelly Jordan Duffy, of the 1900 block of Greengage Road in Windsor Mill, was the car's only occupant, police said. The accident occurred about 3:17 a.m. on Maryland Route 32 near Fox Chase Road, according to Howard County police.
"Preliminary investigation reveals failure to drive within a single lane as the primary cause of the collision," police said Sunday in a statement. "Investigators are also looking into the possibility that the driver may have fallen asleep prior to the collision."
