A gunman shot a convenience store clerk during a robbery attempt early Monday in Halethorpe, Baltimore County police said.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting at the Speedy Mart in the 3800 block of Hollins Ferry Road at 1:40 a.m. found the clerk with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body, police said. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated and later released, police said.
The gunman then fled the store without taking any money, police said. He has not been identified.
