City police were investigating three overnight shootings that wounded three and left one dead.
The fatal shooting occurred in the 900 block of N. Port St., in the Milton-Montford neighborhood of East Baltimore, at about 8:30 p.m. Police said a 47-year-old man was shot in the head and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 10 p.m.
Police have not released the victim's name pending notification of relatives, said spokesman Jeremy Silbert.
A double-shooting in Southwest Baltimore, reported at about 1:45 a.m., is believed to have stemmed from a robbery, police said. The victims, ages 25 and 21, were walking in the 700 block of N. Woodington St., in the Rognel Heights neighborhood, when they were approached by two suspects who shot at them when they tried to run. The victims were each struck in the hand, and taken to area hospitals for treatment.
A 19-year-old man was also being treated for injuries to his arm after he was shot at about 8:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of Ulman St., in Northwest Baltimore's Park Circle neighborhood near Druid Hill Park.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
