Barclay shooting late Friday night leaves one man dead

A 19-year-old man died after being shot late Friday in Baltimore's Barclay neighborhood, police said.

The man was walking west in the 400 block of E. 21st Street at 11:38 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up, the passenger got out and shot the victim multiple times, a preliminary investigation found.

When officers arrived, they found the victim face down on the sidewalk. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died at 12:10 a.m., police said.

Police are waiting for the victim to be fingerprinted before they will confirm his identity.

In another shooting, police said they arrested Kyle Williams on first-degree murder charges in the May 3 killing of Quinton Lee Poindexter.

Police said Williams, 26, shot Poindexter in the 4000 block of Alto Road in Windsor Hills. Williams, of the 3100 block of Garrison Boulevard, was arrested Friday.
