The sedan, driven by 21-year-old Victoria Lynn DeAngelo of Dundalk, entered the outer loop of 695 near exit 1 driving in the wrong direction around 10 p.m. Sunday and crashed into an SUV, Maryland Transportation Authority Police Sgt. Jonathan Green said. The SUV carried Kimberly Kaye Taylor, 29, of White Marsh, and her two daughters, Lily Joseven Kelley, 3, and Mackenzie Grace Kelley, almost 3 months old.
Baltimore Fire Rescue responded and had to rip the roofs off both vehicles to extricate all occupants.
DeAngelo was killed in the crash, and Lily Kelley died from her injuries at Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital. Her infant sister was discharged from Johns Hopkins Monday, while the girls' mother was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
All outer loop lanes of the highway were closed and traffic was re-routed onto Maryland Route 10 until 2:48 a.m. Monday.
