Willie Daniels, a 33-year-old Baltimore man, was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison, with all but 30 years of the term suspended, for the stabbing death of a Washington man outside a bar last year, the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office announced.
On a Sunday night in August, Daniels followed Alfred Garner Jr., a 35-year-old information technology professional, out of the Ibis Tavern on the 6000 block of Harford Road and attacked him from behind, according to the prosecutors office. Garner was stabbed 52 times. The assault was captured on video.
Daniels was also ordered to serve five years on probation and could be forced to serve the remainder of his life term if he violates any conditions.
