Two fires, both two-alarm blazes, broke out in Baltimore County dwellings this weekend, fire officials said Sunday.

The first fire, at 9600 Gettysburg Ave. in Fort Howard, was reported at 9:58 p.m. Saturday and involved a vacant dwelling that was being renovated, officials said. The fire spread to an adjacent wooded area, officials said, adding that approximately 150 fire personnel responded. The fire was under control at 11:37 p.m., officials said.

No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation, officials said.

At 12:37 a.m., a second fire was reported, at 8504 Glen Michael Lane in Randallstown; the fire then spread to the adjoining building, at 8506 Glen Michael Lane, officials said. Occupants of both buildings were evacuated, said officials, who added that the fire was under control at 2:22 a.m. Officials said that 100 personnel responded to the twin blazes and that 24 apartment units were damaged.

Police said no injuries were reported. The buildings' management company and the American Red Cross assisted with relocating the residents, police said.
