A 26-year-old woman was injured and her boyfriend was arrested after a shooting early Friday in North Beach, Anne Arundel County police said.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Alabama Ave. shortly after 2 a.m. Friday for a report of a domestic-related shooting, police said.
The victim and her boyfriend were arguing at the residence in the 600 block of Alabama Ave. when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim, police said.
The suspect, 34-year-old Kenneth William Mitchell II, went to a neighbor's house to seek assistance, according to police, and the victim went to the residence on Charleston Avenue.
Mitchell was found and arrested without incident, police said. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The woman was flown to Prince George's Shock Trauma, where she is in serious, but stable condition at this time, police said. Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
