Anne Arundel County
police are investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old man early Thursday in Glen Burnie
The man, who was found near the intersection of Warfield Drive and Flamingo Road, told police he was walking in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway shortly after 1 a.m., when he accepted a ride from two acquaintances. A man was a passenger in the car and a woman was driving, police said.
During the drive, the victim became involved in an altercation with the male passenger and was stabbed several times in the upper body, police said. The suspects then fled the area in the vehicle.
The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center
for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigators said the victim may have been targeted, and the stabbing was not a random act of violence.
