Anne Arundel police investigate report of sexual assault

Anne Arundel detectives are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Wednesday morning in the Glen Burnie area.

After interviewing the adult female victim at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, officers canvassed the Mountain Ridge Drive area, where the woman said she last saw her assailant. They were unable to locate the suspect. Police have extra patrols in the area and are handing out fliers with a composite sketch of the assailant.

The assault occurred at about 1:40 a.m., when the woman and the man were walking along the 300 block of Hospital Drive, police said. The two had met earlier in the evening at a bar on Crain Highway, police said, and had left the establishment together.

Anyone with additional information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Justin Widup at 410-222-3468.
