Man faces rape and assault charges

Annapolis police have charged a 34-year-old city man with the rape of a 13-year-old girl.

Alexander Lara, who is being held on $2 million bail, is also charged with assault in the incident that occurred Saturday at his home on Merle Court, near Forest Drive, police said.

Alexander has quite the court record. Including prior assault charges and many moving violations for no license or lying about who he was to the police. One wonders how much these kinds of people cost the taxpayers.
