A Severn man critically injured in a dispute earlier this month was removed from life support and died, Anne Arundel County police said Friday.
Police said that an autopsy was performed Friday on David Lamont Harley, 45, of the 8000 block of Fair Breeze Drive, to determine the cause and manner of his death, as the police investigation continues.
Police said Harley was involved in a fight with a male friend last week, in which he received life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Police responded to Harley's home last Thursday for a report of a "sick or injured" person. Among the people questioned there was the friend involved in the altercation, police said. No charges have been filed against that friend, and it is unclear if any will be, according to police. Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective J. McNemar at 410-222-3463.
Police had taken the rare step earlier this week of publicly identifying Harley after they could not locate his family to make what they said were key medical decisions for him.
