A man who, according to witnesses, was naked and trying to ignite something Friday morning in a Severna Park
street ran away and barricaded himself in his home when Anne Arundel County officers responded, police said.
Police initially were called to the first block of Robinson Landing Road for an indecent exposure report around 10:42 a.m. When the man barricaded himself at the home, the department's negotiation team and special operations officers were sent, and negotiators spoke with the man by telephone, police said. However, neighbors were told to stay in their homes, police said.
Police said he came out the front door and was taken into custody and to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center
for evaluation. The situation lasted less than two hours, police said.
