A 43-year-old woman was arrested and charged with burglary in Annapolis Tuesday night after a resident caught her climbing in an unlocked kitchen window, according to the Annapolis Police Department.

According to the police department, Nichol Conley of Galesville was charged with fourth degree burglary and trespassing for the incident, reported at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Prince George Street. The property is near the U. S. Naval Academy and less than a block from land where a non-profit group is planning to build a $30 million National Sailing Center and Hall of Fame.

According to the police report, the resident discovered Conley with "the top half of her body inside the kitchen," climbing in a window that had been closed but not locked. According to the police report, Conley backed out of the window when she was confronted, but the resident chased her and called police.

The incident is one of 106 calls for service received by the Annapolis police department in the last 24 hours. Conley is one of 10 people arrested as a result of those calls.
