Obama, Cardin surprise diners at Prince George's BBQ joint

CLINTON --—

CLINTON -- President Barack Obama andSen. Benjamin L. Cardin surprised lunchtime diners at a Prince George's County barbecue restaurant today.

The pair made the unscheduled appearance at Texas Ribs and BBQ in Clinton after Obama’s address this morning at Prince George’s Community College, according to a White House pool report.

Obama ordered two slabs of babyback ribs at the takeout counter, then left with Cardin to meet diners, shake hands and pose for pictures, according to the report by Washington Post writer David Nakamura.

The diners included a military member who said told Obama he had helped to fly him on military aircraft during the 2008 campaign. Obama thanked him, and some other diners from nearby Joint Base Andrews.

"Thanks for your service,” he said. “I'm standing between you and the last bite.”

Time to retire both of them, these people had no idea even who Ben Cardin was after 40+ years on the public dole. Millionaires who raise your taxes as they Benefit themselves.

If we don't care, they just continue to become celebrities in office. Choices are State Senator Muse in the demo primary & Dan Bongino in the republican primary. CHANGE for 2012.

Defeat Cardin.

We are still waiting for democracy in action here in Maryland as here in Baltimore, we have yet to hear of the challengers in Baltimore and Baltimore County elections for Cardin and Sarbanes positions. There are several challengers. In a healthy democracy, those challengers would have received the press that goes with a primary....and with it contributions that would allow them to campaign, like that of the Republican primary or the primary in Montgomery County. But in the Baltimore area, all we hear are the incumbants getting a pat on the back from other incumbants. That is why we have 17% turnout in Baltimore......Cronyism at its best......just remember: bank bailout, failure to prosecute bankers, cuts in entitlements, failure to hold corporations and the rich accountable for their share of the deficit, insider trading allegations, failure of financial reform to reform. The Republicans didn't make them do it, they chose to do it. This is what you get with your incumbant!
