Baltimore police have reopened I-83 in both directions after closing it following two separate crashes Sunday morning.

The interstate was shut down between Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane, said police spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert. The interstate was closed for nearly two hours before it reopened around noon.

The Mayor's Office of Emergency Management said in a message sent out on Twitter that traffic was "severe" on Greenspring Avenue and Falls Road as a result.
