State hospitals

Assisted living facilities at the Spring Grove — shown above — and Springfield state hospitals would be closed, saving a combined $3.8 million. Residents would be moved to private facilities. Meanwhile, 93 positions would be added at the Clifton T. Perkins Hospital, where security has been an issue in the wake of two homicides.
