Kenneth W. DeFontes Jr., chief executive of Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., has two Ravens memories he holds in equal fondness. Standing in front of the television with his family during the team's first Super Bowl appearance, all of them sure the game was won as soon as then-quarterback Trent Dilfer threw a first-quarter touchdown pass. And being at M&T Bank Stadium for the retiring Ray Lewis' final home game. Just before the team beat Denver in double overtime Jan. 12, DeFontes wore Ravens cufflinks for BGE's "Purple Friday," and he decided to keep wearing them all through the next week in the run-up to the faceoff with New England. "I have them on again," he said. "I'm not going to stop wearing them before we get to the Super Bowl, hoping it's a good luck charm. ... It's like that commercial on TV: It's only crazy if it doesn't work."
