Create a tax credit to offset security clearance costs

Another of the bills winning bipartisan support would create an income tax credit for workers for the cost of obtaining a security clearance for up to $3,000 or 50 percent of the cost. Supporters said the bill would help many Maryland high-tech workers qualify for skilled jobs with federal contractors, giving them an edge in being hired.
