Upper Saucon Township has contracted with Mid-State Utility Contractors, Inc. to replace water main along Limeport Pike between Lanark Road and West Saucon Valley Road. Crews will begin replacing the existing three-inch water main with an eight-inch water main on Monday, Feb. 25, and may continue until June 6 at the latest. The purpose of the project is to provide more reliable water service pressures and adequate fire flow protection along the roadway.
Limeport Pike will be closed to traffic between West Saucon Valley Road and Lanark Road between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Thru-traffic will be detoured along West Saucon Valley Road and Lanark Road during the closure. After daily work is completed, the roadway will be opened to two-way traffic, and the detour taken down.
Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra time and use caution when traveling through work zones.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
