The article on the front page of the July 8 Morning Call, with Pope Francis begging for forgiveness during his homily, has moved me very much back to my faith after I was turned away by the atrocities committed by the upper echelon of the Roman Catholic Church and its unethical reactions to the allegations of sexual abuse of minors.
There are a few more issues that need to be addressed. However, they are minute compared to the scandal that has surrounded the sexual abuse of our children by the people whom you think we could trust in God to do the right thing. I praise the pope for being a true leader of the Catholic Church. And I believe he is a man of his word and will follow through with his convictions. I thank God for something that has been long overdue. God bless his holiness. In God I trust.
