Penn State's home-opener set for noon kickoff

James Franklin's first game at Beaver Stadium is set for a noon kickoff.

Penn State will host Akron on Sept. 6 in the first of seven home games in 2014. The Lions are 4-0 against Akron, winning their last meeting 31-7 in 2009.

At halftime, Penn State will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the unbeaten 1994 team.
