St. Bede's Catholic ChurchAt 1 p.m. May 22, the choirs of St. Bede the Venerable Church and East Los Angeles College, and Music Director Anthony Lupica, organists George Klump and Barbara Klump, pianist Lucy Nargizyan and the St. Bede Chamber Orchestra present a choral concert featuring the music of Mozart's Coronation Mass and Haydn's Concerto No. 1 in C for organ, strings and two oboes, Hob XVIII: 1.
A freewill donation of $15 and $5 for children is requested.
Good Grief, a six-week program for those who have lost a loved one, runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. through May 25 in St. Bede's Parish Center.
The series includes information on the grieving process and an opportunity to share with others in small groups.
Topics include: "The Tasks and Process of Grieving," "What Is Good Grief vs. Bad Grief," "Coping With Loneliness and Depression," "Stress Management," "Learning to Live Alone" and "Re-emerging Into Life With Hope and Purpose."
Good Grief, part of the church's bereavement/funeral ministry, is led by Gloria Lee, a licensed marriage and family therapist.
She is assisted by trained co-facilitators from the bereavement ministry.
Participants are asked to bring a small photo of their loved one to the first session.
St. Bede's also offers a monthly support group, Beyond Good Grief, which meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month in the Parish Center.

La Cañada Presbyterian ChurchMembers of the community seeking support are invited to attend DivorceCare at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, a 13-week program created by Church Initiative and led by church members Rusty Peck and Anne Peck.
Meetings will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays. The group meets in the church library, which is just to the left of the sanctuary.
Cost is $20. Participants will receive the DivorceCare workbook. Participants are only asked to attend and take part.
There are 13 sessions in the DivorceCare curriculum series, and participants may join at any time. Each session centers on a different subject.

La Cañada Congregational ChurchAt 10 a.m. Sunday, there will be a service of public worship at the historic La Cañada Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ church.
Pastor Clifford L. "Skip" Lindeman will lead the service and deliver the morning message, "Pentecost."
All are invited to stay for coffee hour immediately following worship, hosted by the Fellowship Club. Master Organist Joseph Klice will provide special music for the morning, and the Chancel Choir, under the direction of Dr. Harold Daugherty, will sing "He Watching Over Israel," arranged by Mendelssohn.
