'Interview With the Vampire' (1994)
Ah, the vagaries of being a vampire. Poor Louis (played by pale Brad Pitt) suffers pangs of conscience over sucking humans, torment not experienced by his compatriots, Lestat ( Tom Cruise) and the child vamp Claudia ( Kirsten Dunst). Cruises casting in the movie based on Anne Rice's novel initially enraged the author, who publicly complained that the "Top Gun" star was no more my vampire Lestat than Edward G. Robinson. But when the film was done, she sang Cruises praises.
