Un-office Jackie Beat

When the self-proclaimed professional drag queen Jackie Beat moved into her 1949 traditional home in the Highland Park neighborhood of L.A., "I purged myself of all my adolescent pop culture crap, but my collection of memorabilia from the movie 'Carrie' was so extensive, and meant so much to me, that I wanted to dedicate an entire room to it," she says. Her office became a shrine to the Brian de Palma shrieker starring Sissy Spacek. Beat found a desk and chair that were cheap and that looked like they could have come from a "Carrie"-era principal's office.
