'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'

Series: "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" Bewitching story line: Sabrina Spellman is a quirky teenager with an affinity for the phrase "gotta go" who learns that she is half mortal and half witch, thanks to her father keeping his warlock nature a secret. Sabrina moves in with her eccentric aunts Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick), who serve as her guardians and mentors, and their talking cat Salem, who is bent on world domination. Oh, and their linen closet leads to the magical and mysterious "other realm." Melissa Joan Hart's Sabrina pines after football player Harvey, is repeatedly called a freak by head cheerleader Libby and gets herself into silly situations when her half-baked spells go haywire in each episode. "I Dream of Jeannie's" Barbara Eden makes a guest appearance as Sabrina's great-aunt Irma, the fearsome family matriarch who tells the teenage witch to keep her family secret blabbing-mouth in check. The character was based on an Archie Comics character, and the first television incarnation of Sabrina was a short-lived cartoon series that ran from 1971 to 1974. The ABC series' unofficial pilot was a made-for-TV movie that aired on Showtime in 1996.
