<b>Bewitching storyline:</b> Prue, Piper and Phoebe are the Charmed ones, descendants of powerful witches who are tasked with maintaining the balance between good and evil one goblin, gremlin, warlock and source of all evil at a time. The sisters, played by Shannen Doherty (not pictured), Holly Marie Combs (far right) and Alyssa Milano (middle, with Brian Krause), respectively, move back into their family's manor in San Francisco when they receive their supernatural gifts while struggling to maintain steady lives, careers and love interests. Each sister possesses an ability -- telekinesis, freezing time or premonition -- that eventually matures into some serious evil-fighting power.<br>

The series ran for eight seasons with Rose McGowan (left) signing on as their long-lost half-sister Paige in Season 4. She replaced Doherty's Prue in the Aaron Spelling-produced series.
