Roger Staubach

A 10th-round draft pick by the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000039" title="Dallas Cowboys" href="/topic/sports/football/dallas-cowboys-ORSPT000039.topic">Dallas Cowboys</a> in 1964, Staubach led the Cowboys to four <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR00003532" title="National Football Conference" href="/topic/sports/football/national-football-conference-EVSPR00003532.topic">NFC</a> Championships and two <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR000004" title="Super Bowl" href="/topic/sports/football/super-bowl-EVSPR000004.topic">Super Bowl</a> victories in nine seasons. He led Dallas to its first championship (Super Bowl VI) and was named MVP of the game. He was a six-time <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR000032" title="NFL Pro Bowl" href="/topic/sports/football/nfl-pro-bowl-EVSPR000032.topic">Pro Bowl</a> selection, a five-time All-NFC selection and was voted to the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000007" title="NFL" href="/topic/sports/football/nfl-ORSPT000007.topic">NFL</a>’s 1970s All-Decade Team. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.
