Remember when the finale of Christopher Nolan's man-in-black trilogy was considered a dark horse contender for a best picture Oscar? Then, well, the movie was released. Now on DVD, its flaws are even more apparent on the small screen, as apart from a tidy conclusion and a surprisingly barbed turn from Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, the movie is mostly a smug, strangely joyless effort that goes on too long.
