Death: Sept. 13, 1996 Post-death success: Since his death, five albums have been released that bear the name of the famed Los Angeles rapper. All have been chart hits, with "Until the End of Time" even hitting the No. 1 spot on the Billboard tally. In 2004, the Eminem-produced remix effort "Loyal to the Game" also topped the charts, and more appears to be on the way. There's also long been talk of a film, but reported legal snafus hint that nothing is imminent.
