Depression-era landmarks in Southern California: Pageant of the Masters

Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, (800) 487-3378 Back in 1932, community boosters were looking for a way to woo some of the tourists coming west for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Their answer was a festival of the arts, including a “living picture” feature that was soon renamed the Pageant of the Masters.
