When it came time to shoot “The Godfather Part III,” for release in 1990, Pacino supposedly asked for $7 million to reprise his role as Michael Corleone.  Coppola was  said to be so annoyed by Pacino’s request that he considered opening the film with Michael Corleone's funeral.
