Maiden flight of Antares

The capsule that will be lifted into space by the Antares rocket will carry instruments to collect data. It will remain in orbit for months until natural gravitational forces slowly degrade its orbit and it reenters and burns up in the atmosphere. Above, Orbital Sciences successfully conducts an engine test of the rocket in February at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.
