Three-dimensional dilemma

Theater owners are up in arms over Sony's plans to stop paying for 3-D glasses. The money-saving move would go into effect in May 2012, just in time for the studio's two big 3-D releases, "Men in Black III" and "The Amazing Spider-Man." Moviegoers would have the option of renting the glasses or buying a pair for keeps. If the decision holds, more studios will probably follow.Peter Stigter / Jonas Gustavsson
