It seemed there were two ways folks spent their money this week: on Mega Millions tickets and/or "The Hunger Games." The Jennifer Lawrence-starring blockbuster took in $155 million in domestic receipts over the weekend, which was impressive (but not as big as the lottery jackpot). The film's performance has also inspired studios to go on a spending spree to snap up the movie rights to even modestly successful novels featuring similar themes. And then there was the weighty debate over whether Lawrence was too fat in the movie.
