Brokeback Mountain

Growing up Alba After playing a up-and-coming dancer-choreographer in the 2003 hit “Honey,” she came into her own as exotic dancer Nancy in 2005’s “Sin City,” directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller. Alba received the MTV Movie Award for “Sexiest Performance” for “Sin City.” However, she’s taken more than a few potshots from critics for acting and was nominated for a 2007 Razzie Award for worst actress for her performance in three lambasted films released last year “Awake,” “Good Luck Chuck” and “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” Hathaway After appearing in “The Princess Dairies 2: Royal Engagement” and “Ella Enchanted” in 2004, she came of age — and doffed her duds — in the dreadful “Havoc,” as well as “Brokeback Mountain.” Her Disney ingenue days were officially over. Winner: Hathaway because she’s the stronger more versatile actress. Kimberly French / Focus Features
