Heroic Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) battled Nazis and all sorts of villains with derring-do and cracks of his whip, but when he is reunited with his long-lost daddy (Sean Connery) in this 1989 action-adventure, suddenly he is reduced to simply "Junior" by his old man. But Connery's Henry Jones Sr. accepts his son as an adult at the film's conclusion, when he values him more than the Holy Grain and finally refers to him as "Indiana." Initially, Connery turned down the role when it was offered to him by director <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB003751" title="Steven Spielberg" href="/topic/entertainment/movies/steven-spielberg-PECLB003751.topic">Steven Spielberg</a> because of the small age difference. But when he relented, he began to turn Henry Sr. into a character that was more than a match for Indiana Jones. He told Spielberg: "Look, whatever Indy's done, my character's done and my character has done it better."<br>

In the new "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," Indy discovers that a young greaser named Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) is actually his son by old girlfriend Marion (Karen Allen).
