Betty White, 'The John Larroquette Show' (1996)

White won two of her three supporting Emmy bids as sweet and sour Sue Ann on the '70s sitcom "The Mary Tyler Moore Show." Then she was the first of the three lead "Golden Girls" to win for that ‘80s classic. Her single victory as the rambling Rose came for the first of her seven consecutive nods. Four years after that run ended, White played an exaggerated (one hopes) version of herself on "The John Larroquette Show." As a fading star desperate for her TV Guide close-up, White skillfully skewered her image as America's sweetheart.
