'Cavemen'

This short-lived (and much-reviled) ABC sitcom got its start as a series of ads for the auto-insurance company Geico. The commercials pitched the idea that Geico's website was so simple, even a caveman could use it. Somehow, those ads turned into a buddy comedy that played with the ideas and conventions of race relations. The series aired only six episodes before being placed on hiatus for the Writers Guild strike. Then it was cancelled.
