Amazon rain forest, South America

The Amazon rain forest stretches across South America from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Andes in the west, covering 2.3 million square miles. One of the most biologically diverse and rich places on Earth, it is home to millions of species of plants and animals, including acacia trees, manatees, jaguars, toucans and capybaras.
