South Africa: Mighty winds, wild baboons and geo-charisma

This is where tourists come to see South Africa disappear into the sea at the Cape of Good Hope. More specifically, this is Cape Point, about 20 miles south of Cape Town, an outpost strafed by wind, roamed by wild baboons and pounded by tides from two oceans (South Atlantic and Southern). The Flying Dutchman ghost ship is supposed to be forever tossing in the swells below. Really, this spot has all the geo-charisma required to be the continent's southernmost point. Unfortunately, my map says Cape Agulhas, about 90 miles to the east, is the real southernmost point. Is it too late to request a recount? Read more: South Africa: On the ball between matches
